For the first time in 15 years, we have a Boys #1 Singles STATE CHAMPION! 💙

Colin capped off his incredible career today by defeating Powell in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, to claim the title. He’s played #1 singles for us since his freshman year and has steadily climbed the ladder:

▪️ 9th–12th as a freshman
▪️ 4th as a sophomore
▪️ 2nd as a junior
▪️ STATE CHAMPION as a senior

This week, Colin went a perfect 4-0 at state without dropping a single set. His hard work, dedication, and leadership have defined our program the past four years—we couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations, Colin! 🥇

As a team, our boys finished 5th overall, just shy of the podium, and our girls matched last year’s result in 13th place. Both teams battled all year and represented Thunderbird tennis with pride!

A HUGE THANK YOU to our volunteer coaches—Jared Crecelius, Dylan Hatanelas, and Nicole Cameron—for their time and energy this season. And to our parents who kept us fueled with coolers, team dinners, and senior night—you are the backbone of this program. 🙌

We graduate 13 amazing seniors this year. Their impact on our program is lasting, and they’ve been a huge part of our success. We’ll miss them dearly and we wish them all luck in wherever they decide to go next!
